Our Chapter offers a full range of services to guide and assist you as you learn more about ALS. Here you will find pertinent information for patients, caregivers, family members, friends and healthcare workers. Our staff is here Monday through Friday to answer any questions you may have. Support Groups

 Facing a diagnosis of ALS can be very emotionally exhausting for the patient and family. Knowing where to turn to for information and support can be frustrating. The ALS Association Kentucky's monthly support group aims to provide not only emotional support, but also create a safe atmosphere to educate families and to help link individuals together who are living with ALS. 

 

The Kentucky ALS Support Group is held virtually the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. EST/ 5 p.m. CST

Throughout the year, we will offer a virtual resource groups with a guest speaker to educate patients and caregivers about ALS-related topics including information on nutrition management, medical insurance options, durable medical equipment and communication assistance.

Equipment Program

We are able to provide certain pieces of durable medical equipment to patients when insurance isn't an option. 

 

A doctor's approval is needed for each piece of equipment we provide. We evaluate these requests on a case-by-case basis.
