This May I was scheduled to walk The Camino de Santiago, a 500 mile pilgrimage across the top of Spain. With the COVID-19 pandemic and stay at home orders, that had to be cancelled.
Also during this crazy time my dear friend, Mary Jane Eigel was diagnosed with ALS. I can’t give her a hug, I can’t stop by to visit, but what I can do is take a walk in her honor.
Instead of walking across Spain, I will be walking 500 miles in and around our hometown of Anchorage, with the hopes of raising awareness and funds for ALS Association.
Please join me and consider donating in Mary Jane’s honor and please feel free to share with others. Below you can learn more about ALS and visit the Kentucky Chapter web site at www.webky.alsa.org
Thank you! XX,

Thank you for helping me reach my Walk to Defeat ALS fundraising goal! The Virtual Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to fund research, find treatments and a cure. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
That’s why I’m walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: “You Have ALS” again.
The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
But, we can’t stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
